On September 27, Gostiny Dvor saw the final part of Russian Sillhouette, VIII International Young Designer Contest. This event, which united ambitious young talents from different Russian and CIS cities under the auspices of the charity fund with the same name, became especially meaningful in the year of youth. 75 beginning designers with 66 collections took part in the final. The Grand Prix – studies in the Italian Marangoni Institute – was awarded to Ekaterina Babenko and Anton Galetsky from Omsk who astonished everyone with their Anatomy of Accessories collection, the most captivating moment of which was turning a transformer bag… into a jacket! This creative duo was also offered a probation in the L`Officiel magazine and a possibility to present their collection at the Russian Fashion Week. Omsk was best represented in the final as one of the main prizes by Premiere Vision – a trip to the largest exhibition of fabrics in Paris – was also given to a resident of this city, Zere Eralinova, with TUTU collection. More than 25 other winners received opportunities of probation in largest Russian Fashion Houses, in the Danish company Saga Furs and in the Fashion House of Claude Bonucci (France), as well as a unique opportunity to present their collections at the Rome Fashion Week.
